Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Addy Psychotherapy website (addypsychotherapy.com) and related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the website or our services.

Services Description

Addy Psychotherapy, operated by Joseph Addy, MDiv, RP (Qualifying), CSAT, EMDR, provides psychotherapy services, educational content, and self-assessment tools through this website and in clinical practice. Services are offered to individuals, couples, and families in Ontario, Canada.

Not a Substitute for Emergency Services

The content and services provided through this website are not a substitute for emergency medical or psychiatric care. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, are in danger, or need immediate assistance, please call 911 or contact a crisis line such as Talk Suicide Canada at 1-833-456-4566 or the Crisis Text Line by texting HOME to 741741. This website and its services are not designed to provide emergency or crisis intervention.

Self-Assessment Tools Disclaimer

The self-assessment tools available on this website are provided for educational purposes only. They are not diagnostic instruments and should not be used as a substitute for a professional clinical assessment. Completing a self-assessment does not establish a therapeutic relationship with Joseph Addy or Addy Psychotherapy. Results are intended to provide general information and encourage reflection. Booking and Cancellation

Sessions are booked through our online booking platform, Jane App (addypsychotherapy.janeapp.com), or by contacting us directly by phone or email.

We require at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations (less than 24 hours before the scheduled session) and no-shows will be charged the full session fee. This policy allows us to offer appointment times to other clients who may be waiting.

Payment Terms

Payment is due at the time of each session. We accept e-transfer and credit card payments. Receipts suitable for insurance reimbursement are provided after each session.

Confidentiality

All therapeutic communications are kept confidential in accordance with the standards set by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA). There are limits to confidentiality as required by Ontario law, including situations involving risk of harm to yourself or others, abuse or neglect of a child, or when records are ordered by a court of law. These limits are discussed in detail during the informed consent process.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, images, self-assessment tools, blog posts, and other materials, is the property of Addy Psychotherapy and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this site without prior written permission.

Limitation of Liability

Addy Psychotherapy and Joseph Addy provide this website and its content on an "as is" basis. We make no warranties or representations regarding the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of the information provided. Governing Law
